The mission of Oh Snap Click is very simple: to provide an environment for photojournalists to share work that would otherwise go unseen. Entry is open to anyone with photographs to share.

“While the mission of Oh Snap Click is fairly simple, the list of uses is anything but short.

Oh Snap Click provides a great resource to new photographers. Oh Snap Click is a constantly updated list of high quality photo stories originating from contemporary photojournalists. As photojournalists this is truly the work of our peers. OSC provides a cohesive compilation of inspirational stories that should educate us both as humans and photojournalists.

It is my hope that OSC becomes more than a list of stories but a community of photographers, journalists, and citizens of the world who appreciate the need to not only tell stories but listen.

With print media giving way to the web there is an ease like never before to publish one’s own work. I mean, most photographers can publish a story to a blog in a matter of minutes. But these stories, if they go unpublished, never see the light of day to a vast audience. Unfortunately your audience is only so big. By coming together as a larger community, and spreading the word and linking back to OSC we can build a larger audience, thus allowing our stories to be seen by an even larger audience. In this light I see OSC as a device designed to organize the massive amount of content available to us.

If you have stories to share, submit them. If you have a blog, tell people about us. If you don’t have those, just keep on visiting and looking at the wonderful collection of work we are compiling.”
